Nothing But Pictures

I wish I had more lovely things to share with you dear readers of mine! BUT tis' the season and you know a crafter's busiest time is now! My studio is covered in bits and bobs of lace and fabric and string and thread and bobbins and knitting everywhere! I hope you are all having a wonderful season, and I hope to have more pretty and completed projects in the new year!

Unclothed & Free
Penelope Meadow is waiting for my final adjustments to her costume. In the meantime, she feels free as a bird and happy about her outlook.

A Foggy Day Knit

A foggy and dreary day most certainly calls for knitting and tea. Of course miss Penelope Meadow needs some warm woolens in this weather!  She asked for a bright yellow "gnome hat" and of course I got right to work! I thought she needed a warm shawlette in forest green to match her nature-loving soul, she is often dwelling in the forest and meadows (just like her namesake!) and chattering with the squirrels and rabbits and whatnots, so anything green suits her well.  She also likes the color gray---just like the skies today, the color is definitely not my "color" in that. I prefer warm colors on the spectrum... but with a sweet face like hers how could I say no? I'm sure she will request treasure bags and leather satchels to carry all of her earthy finds and of course they have to match her outfits because what forest loving-gnome-like-lady doesn't have matching accessories?
So today is spent knitting in my warm, cozy house, with miss Penelope keeping me company and time is measured by empty tea mugs, and by how dark the gray skies are.
I hope you all have a wonderfully cozy and dreamy day today!

News Bites Around Here

...Well there is no news when a craft like mine takes as long as it does!  I can tell you though I'm thoroughly enjoying immersing myself in wooly goodness and making a bit of a mess around my studio.  You see, it is the busy time of year with the Holidays and general merry-making, and all sorts of "making things" time with my kids.
So I am thinking after I finish a few dolls and listen to their stories and share with you all their thoughts and personalities, I might write a bit a of newsletter for you all. It would just be a few snippets not published here on my blog and little musings about the dolls and their information.
What do you all think? I'd love to hear your thoughts! I'm thinking this will be happening in the far(ish) future when more dolls are born and shared.

A Stitch at a Time

Pretty much that's it. Other than the fact that this craft takes such long hours to make, I enjoy immersing myself in my work while taking tea breaks and naps.

Though I can say this, Penny is turning out to be such a delightful little gnome wonderer don't you think?
